The starry acts at T20 World Cup's opening ceremony
India, Feb. 6 -- The ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 is all set for a high-octane opening ceremony on Saturday in Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium ahead of India's clash with the US.
HT City has learnt that percussionist Sivamani and sitarist Rishab Rikhiram Sharma will open the evening. "The segment is expected to foreground traditional sounds and musical improvisation, setting the tone for the global cricket event," a source tells us.
The performances will conclude with the zesty beats of rapper-singer Badshah and actor-dancer-singerNora Fatehi. "Their act is expected to bring a contemporary pop and dance-driven close to the ceremony, shortly before the opening match," the source adds.
The tournament's theme song Feel the Thrill by Anirudh Ravichander is also expected to feature as part of the opening ceremony.
The opening match between India and the US is scheduled for 7pm. The World Cup will run from February 7 to March 8, with 20 teams competing at venues across India and Sri Lanka....
