Panchkula, Feb. 9 -- Paws pranced, tails danced and hearts melted as the Royal Kennel Club Panchkula hosted the 7th All Breed Championship Dog Show at Hotel Holiday Inn, Sector 3, on a sunny Sunday. From playful pups to graceful grown-ups, nearly 200 dogs participated alongside their owners, shared Sikander Singh, general secretary of the club. Cameras clicked non-stop as dog lovers, breeders and trainers from across the tricity and various parts of India, including Delhi, Kolkata, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, gathered for the event. International participants from Serbia, Germany, Russia and Japan also marked their presence. Arshinder Singh, DGP (Vigilance), Haryana, and Alba Smeriglio, British deputy high commissioner, Chandigarh, were the chief guests. The show turned into a delightful paw parade, featuring pugs, chihuahuas, French bulldogs, mastiffs, labradors and Rottweilers, with Pomeranians, Saint Bernards, Lhasa apsos, poodles, gaddis, German shepherds, Serbian huskies, chow chows, Samoyeds, Akita inus and shih tzus adding more furry charm. The competitions were judged by Federation Cynologique Internationale (FCI) international dog show judges Yashodhara and Mukul Vaid, along with Kristiina Niemela from Finland.
