Sangrur, Feb. 23 -- Failing to crack JEE Main, a 19-year-old Class 12 student shot himself dead in a Sangrur district village, police said on Sunday. Dhuri station house officer (SHO) Gurmel Singh said the incident occurred on Saturday, a day after the Class 12 physics exam which too reportedly did not go well for him. "The deceased's mother and the grandmother were in another room while he was in his study room when he shot himself using the licensed pistol of his father, who is a general manager in a private company," the SHO said. According to the police, the deceased failed to qualify for the JEE Main exam whereas his friends managed to score good marks. The victim was struggling with depression, the SHO added....
