Student council appointed, young leaders take charge at Gurukul
Chandigarh, May 8 -- The school proudly organised its Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2026-27, formally entrusting responsibilities to the newly elected Student Council. The occasion was graced by the esteemed chief guest, SP Arora (IAS), whose distinguished presence added inspiration and dignity to the event. Having served in prominent administrative positions, including sub-divisional magistrate and advisor to the administrator, UT Chandigarh, Arora is presently practicing as an advocate at the Punjab & Haryana High Court.
The ceremony was attended by the managing director, Parveen Setya, the principal, vice principal, faculty members, and students. The programme commenced on a spiritual note with the chanting of the Gayatri Mantra and an English prayer, creating a serene and auspicious atmosphere.
A major highlight of the event was the conferring of badges and sashes upon the newly elected Student Council members. Kashvi Gulati was appointed as the Head Girl, while Suvansh Sharma assumed the responsibility of Head Boy. T
Addressing the gathering, chief guest SP Arora motivated the students to lead with responsibility, confidence, and commitment, encouraging them to become role models for their peers.
