SANGRUR, Feb. 3 -- : A five-year-old boy was attacked and injured by stray dogs while playing outside his house in Sunder Basti on Monday. Darshan Singh Kangra, a local resident and national president of the Bharatiya Ambedkar Mission, said the victim was rushed to the civil hospital, Sangrur. He said two similar attacks happened recently also. Residents claim that packs of stray dogs have turned public spaces, including Banasar Bagh, local hospitals, and markets, unsafe for public. Kangra claimed that the administration has failed to take action despite numerous written complaints submitted to the municipal council and the deputy commissioner. He threatened to protest against the municipal council if they fail to resolve the issue. Dr Vinod, senior medical officer, civil hospital, Sangrur, stated that the child was provided with the necessary treatment. "We have sent letters to the executive officer of the municipal council many times to deal with the stray dog issue, but to no avail," he said....
