Chandigarh, Feb. 11 -- St Stephen's School marked National Girl Child Day with a thoughtfully planned series of events on February 5 and 6, 2026, held in the school auditorium.
A specially curated assembly brought to life the essence of SDG 5 - Gender Equality through a compelling speech, an inspiring narrative, and a soul-stirring poem that celebrated the resilience, strength, and boundless potential of the girl child.
An engaging quiz on eminent women achievers added both enthusiasm and insight, while icons such as Kalpana Chawla and Malala Yousafzai were showcased as powerful role models.
Teachers and students came together in shades of pink, adorned with dupattas, symbolising solidarity, empowerment, and pride. Addressing the gathering, the principal Francis, underscored that educating, empowering, and respecting the girl child is fundamental to nurturing a just, progressive, and compassionate society....
