Mohali, March 11 -- A foreign national from Turkey, identified as Mavluda, was killed on Monday night after being run over by a speeding black Audi on Zirakpur's VIP Road. The accident occurred around midnight in front of M-Care Hospital while the victim was crossing the road with a friend. Police are currently examining CCTV footage to identify the driver, who fled the scene. The woman suffered serious injuries in the impact and died on the spot, as told by her friend Abhishek, present on spot during the accident. Police reached the spot, took the body into custody and shifted it to the mortuary of the Civil Hospital in Dera Bassi for post-mortem examination. Police said CCTV footage from the area is being examined to identify the driver of the car. They added that the deceased has been identified as a foreign national and her sister is travelling to India from Turkey. Further legal action will be taken after her arrival....
