Ludhiana, Feb. 6 -- The 77th Republic Day was celebrated with immense patriotic fervour at Sant Ishar Singh Ji Memorial Public School Karamsar Rara Sahib today. The event featured the unfurling of the National Flag and a short, vibrant programme with a song followed by a speech. Lieutenant Harpreet Kaur and Second Officer Ravi Sharma of the school NCC Unit played pivotal roles in planning, executing, and supervising the ceremonial activities. Dikshpreet Kaur of Class 10 and Jaismeen Kaur of 12 escorted today's guest of honour, Maninderjit Singh Benipal along with vice principal Harpreet Kaur and estate officer Captain Ranjeet Singh. The ceremony commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by the representative of the Managing Committee of the School, followed by the National Anthem and a pledge to uphold the Constitution. Senior Division Cadet Wing leaders of the NCC, namely Amritpal Singh of 12 (C) and Mehakpreet Kaur of 11 (B) led a contingent of NCC cadets who took part in a magnificent and colourful parade that offered a guard of honour to Maninderjit Singh Benipal. Suneeta Paul delivered a speech in which she urged the audience to keep up the spirit of sacrifice of the martyrs and preserve national unity and Constitutional Values. Thereafter, Navneet Kaur of Class 9 D and troupe sang a chorus song "Vande Mataram", a profound song of devotion that emphasised the Preamble, Fundamental Rights, and responsibilities of young citizens....
