Mohali, April 10 -- A Centre of Excellence for autism and neurodevelopmental disorders was opened on Thursday in Sector 79, Mohali, under the aegis of Dr BR Ambedkar State Institute of Medical Sciences to strengthen developmental healthcare. BR Ambedkar State Institute of Medical Sciences director principal Dr Navdeep Saini said this centre represents a visionary step towards building a structured, state-wide model of care. "It ensures that children receive timely diagnosis, evidence-based interventions and long-term support, including vocational training and career guidance for adults," he added.
