India, Jan. 11 -- Singer-composer Prakriti Kakar is counting down to her wedding with entrepreneur Vinay Anand in Jaipur, with the celebrations slated to culminate around January 20. The festivities have already begun, with a surprise bachelorette getaway to Lake Pawna in Maharashtra. Recalling the celebration, the 30-year-old tells us, "My sisters Sukriti and Akriti (Kakar, singers), along with my girlfriends, 12 of us in total, headed to a beautiful villa near the lake. We had a variety of games, art activities, T-shirts, and balloons, all of which were customised with my photos on them. My sisters are the best maids of honour one could have." Speaking to us about the upcoming ceremonies, she says, "The wedding, which will be an intimate ceremony, is at Fort Barwara near Jaipur, followed by celebrations in Delhi. There will also be a grand reception in Mumbai where everyone who has been part of my journey, including industry colleagues, will join in. It's going to be two weeks of fun." more on P3...
