Chandigarh, Oct. 26 -- The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) has arrested Gulshan Jain, a proclaimed offender (PO) linked to the multi-crore paddy scam in Amritsar district. Jain was declared PO by the court in 2019. VB official spokesperson stated that Jain, a resident of Jandiala in Amritsar district, was arrested in connection with a case registered on April 5, 2018. Ten persons, including the directors/owners of Veeru Mal Mulkh Raj Rice Mill and officials were booked for their alleged involvement in the pilferage of paddy allotted to the mill. HTC...
