Palaash Muchhal files Rs.10 crore defamation case

usic composer-singer Palaash Muchhal, who was recently in the spotlight after reports of his wedding to Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana being called off, has now taken legal action over fresh allegations levelled against him. Muchhal has filed a Rs.10 crore defamation case against Marathi actor-producer Vidnyan Mane, who earlier alleged he was cheated of Rs.40 lakh and also made claims about Muchhal's relationship with Mandhana in an interview with HT City.
Muchhal announced the legal move in an Instagram post on Saturday evening, stating that his lawyer Shreyansh Mithare has sent a defamation notice to Sangli-based Mane over "false, outrageous and highly defamatory" accusations, allegedly made to harm his reputation and character.
As per reports, Mane has approached police in Maharashtra's Sangli district, claiming Muchhal took money from him as an investment for an upcoming project Nazaria. Mane has alleged that the film did not get completed and he did not receive his money back. No FIR has been registered so far. Mane, who has claimed to be Mandhana's childhood pal, also alleged that Muchhal was unfaithful to the cricketer, saying he was caught "red-handed" with another woman during the wedding celebrations....
