Chandigarh, Feb. 18 -- Under the esteemed leadership and visionary guidance of the founders and directors, Earnest Charles J Samuel and Annie Charles Samuel, and under the able stewardship of the principal, Parveena John Singh, Mount Carmel School, Chandigarh organised a gracious and memorable farewell ceremony titled "Bidding Adieu" in honour of the outgoing Class 12 students. The event was held on February 13 at Country Inn by Radisson, Zirakpur. The Class 12 students graced the occasion in elegant traditional attire, while the students of Class 11 attended in refined western formals, adding vibrancy and charm to the celebration. The programme commenced with a solemn assembly that included scripture readings and a prayer service, invoking the Almighty's blessings for the students as they prepare to undertake their forthcoming Board Examinations and step into a new chapter of life. The evening unfolded as a harmonious blend of reflection and festivity. Thoughtfully curated games and interactive activities created an atmosphere of warmth and camaraderie, allowing students to relive cherished memories while strengthening bonds of friendship. The hall resonated with laughter and enthusiasm as participants wholeheartedly engaged in the planned activities. A major highlight of the evening was the much-anticipated fashion show, wherein students confidently presented themselves through multiple rounds. The participants were assessed on their ramp walk, traditional attire, composure, and spontaneity during the question-and-answer segment. The final round was adjudicated by the respected principal, Parveena John Singh, along with Jasleen Kaur Sabarwal, principal of Mount Carmel School, Mohali. The most distinguished participants were honoured with the prestigious titles. Mr Mount Carmel was awarded to Aarav Samuel, Ms Mount Carmel was given to Avika. Shreya was awarded with Ms Congeniality award and Vihaan Thakur, and Manavmeet Singh were given Mr Personality award. The ceremony concluded on a deeply reflective note as the principal offered a heartfelt prayer, seeking divine grace, wisdom, and success for the graduating students in all their future endeavours.
