Chandigarh, Feb. 3 -- The municipal corporation (MC) Chandigarh's smart parking initiative, MC One Pass, has crossed the 1,000-subscriber mark within a short span of its launch since January 27. The pass offers commuters seamless monthly parking at highly affordable rates - Rs.250 for two-wheelers and Rs.500 for four-wheelers - across designated MC parking sites in the city. MC commissioner Amit Kumar said that the strong response highlights the success of digital governance initiatives aimed at improving ease of living, convenience and transparency. The system ensures cashless payments, reduces disputes at parking sites, and brings greater accountability in parking operations.
