Mohali firm to launch Rs.200 electric air taxi services
Mohali, Feb. 1 -- A Mohali-based aviation company has joined a consortium developing electric aircraft in India, working in collaboration with the Government of India and two private firms.
Making it the first aviation company from Punjab to enter the electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) space, Nalwa Aero signed strategic memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with leading helicopter operators, government-backed Pawan Hans Ltd., Global Vectra Helicorp, and Himalayan Heli Services at Wings India 2026 in Hyderabad.
Kuljeet Sandhu, CEO of Nalwa Aero, said, "Our vision is to make air travel a daily mode of transport rather than a luxury. In collaboration with experienced operators, we aim to introduce air taxi services at fares starting from not more than Rs.200 per passenger on select short routes."HTC...
