Margot's heels, Taj Mahal necklace creates a stir
India, Jan. 30 -- Actor Margot Robbie's latest look marks a departure from the hyper-feminine 'Barbiecore' aesthetic. Stepping out in a gothic ensemble by Roberto Cavalli for her next film's promotions, Margot leaned into a sophisticated sense of glamour.
However, it was her footwear that stole the show. Margot wore Christian Louboutin's So Kate pump: leather heels with a pointed toe and a 4.74-inch high heels. While many praised the fashion commitment, others "shuddered" at the sight of the heels, with one user writing, "My feet hurt just looking at this."
The fashion momentum continued at her film's premiere at TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles, California. Margot wore a stunning Schiaparelli Haute Couture gown, but the standout was a jewellery piece from history: late actor Elizabeth Taylor's heart-shaped Taj Mahal diamond necklace. Set in a gold and ruby Cartier chain, the diamond, valued at around $8 million (approx Rs.73.54 crore), features a Parsi inscription that translates to "love is everlasting".Its lineage is believed to trace back to the 17th-century Mughal Empire, having been owned by Empress Nur Jahan before passing to Shah Jahan, the emperor renowned for building the Taj Mahal.
