Man stabbed, robbed of Rs.2,000 in Panchkula's Indira Colony
Panchkula, March 9 -- Three men robbed a man of Rs.2,000 after stabbing him in the thigh in Panchkula's Indira Colony, Sector 17, on Saturday.
The victim, Manish, a resident of the colony, works as a decorator for weddings and maintains a godown in Budhanpur, Sector 16.
In his complaint to police, Manish said he had stopped his car near a mosque in Indira Colony while returning from his godown around 8.30 pm on Saturday. There, three youths suddenly intercepted him.
He alleged that the trio forcibly dragged him to an isolated road within the colony, where they assaulted him. During the struggle, one of the accused stabbed him in the thigh and snatched Rs.2,000, before fleeing the scene with his accomplices.
Acting on the complaint, Sector 14 police station registered an FIR under Sections 115 (voluntarily causing hurt), 118 (1)(voluntarily causing hurt using dangerous weapons or means), 309 (6) (voluntarily causing hurt during a robbery or attempted robbery), 351 (3)(criminal intimidation) and 3 (5)(acts done by several persons in furtherance of a common intention) of the BNS....
