Mohali, Feb. 17 -- Police have booked a man in Zirakpur for allegedly raping and assaulting his six-year-old daughter over a period of time. The accused is currently absconding. According to the complaint lodged by the child's mother, she married the accused in 2019 and had been residing with him in Zirakpur. Owing to marital discord in recent months, she and her daughter started living with her sister. The woman told police that when she recently informed her daughter about her decision to return to her husband, the child objected and described her father as "not good".
