Mohali, May 3 -- A man and a woman were attacked over a parking dispute in Green Valley, Kharar, police said on Saturday. The 37-year-old man, Pradeep Kumar, has sustained injuries. Nine persons have been booked, officials said. Complainant Pradeep Kumar said he intervened when he saw his neighbours Rahul Negi and his father Hushiar Singh arguing with a woman over parking a trolley outside her house. The police said Rahul and Hushiar attacked Pradeep. According to the complainant, Rahul called several others to the spot following which the group assaulted Pradeep with sticks, hitting him on his head. Pradeep said that his gold ring and silver bracelet went missing during the scuffle. The woman attempted to intervene, but the group allegedly assaulted her as well, the complainant alleged. Among those booked are Rahul Negi, Hushiar Singh, Monika, Dinesh Singh, Karan Singh, Robin, Rosy and Thakur. Sections 115(2), 126(2), 74, 351(2), 190 and 191(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita have been slapped....
