Jalandhar, April 20 -- Union minister for housing and urban affairs Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday accused the Congress of sabotaging the agenda of women development by not allowing the women reservation bill to pass in the Lok Sabha. Addressing a press conference in Jalandhar on Sunday, Khattar, who was accompanied by BJP women leaders, alleged that the Opposition parties resorted to "injustice and betrayal" with the people of India with the defeat of the much-anticipated bill. "The Opposition has miserably failed to rise above politics and work in larger interest of development of women and give them a command in the political arena," the Union minister alleged.
