Dharamshala, April 16 -- Governor Kavinder Gupta on Wednesday extended his greetings to the people of the state on Himachal Day. Praising the citizens, the governor said that the state has carved a distinct identity across the country in the fields of education, healthcare, social welfare, infrastructure development and environmental conservation. Talking about the history of the state, governor said, April 15, 1948, occupies a historic milestone, as on this day Himachal came into existence with the merger of 30 small and large hill princely states.
