Mohali, Feb. 2 -- Police recovered a foetus, estimated to be around three months old, from near the boundary wall of a housing society on VIP Road in Zirakpur on Saturday evening. The foetus was found in a decomposed condition. Local residents noticed the foetus and alerted the police. A team from the Zirakpur police station reached the spot and took it into custody. The foetus was later shifted to the mortuary of Dera Bassi Civil Hospital for further procedures. During preliminary investigation, police found that the foetus was approximately three months old and male. However, officials have not yet been able to establish who abandoned the foetus or the circumstances under which it was dumped at the site. The Zirakpur olice have registered a case against unknown persons under Section 94 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and initiated an investigation.HTC...
