Five more hospitalised amid Indore water-borne disease outbreak
Bhopal, Jan. 11 -- At least 27 more people reported symptoms of vomiting and diarrhoea, with five of them being hospitalised, in Bhagirathpura area of Indore on Saturday amid an outbreak of water-borne diseases that has claimed 10 lives, officials aware of the matter said.
They added that 41 patients are currently receiving treatment in hospitals across the region, with 12 of them in the intensive care unit.
In the weeks since the devastating outbreak emerged in December, over 1,500 people have been infected by water-borne illnesses, 450 have been hospitalised and 10 have died.
