Chandigarh, Jan. 31 -- Residents can expect a rainy start to February as a fresh spell is expected on Sunday. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) officials, the system is expected to be weaker than the two rain spells witnessed over the past fortnight. IMD Chandigarh director Surender Paul said cloud cover may begin increasing by Saturday night, with the system peaking on Sunday. Cloudy conditions are likely to persist on Monday, followed by clear skies from Tuesday. Meanwhile, the city's mercury levels are currently above normal. The maximum temperature rose from 21degC on Thursday to 22.2degC on Friday, about three degrees above normal, while the minimum increased from 6.6degC to 8.8degC, a degree above normal. Over the next three days, the maximum temperature is expected to hover between 20degC and 21degC, while the minimum is likely to remain between 10degC and 11degC....
