Exhibition hails contributors who shaped Ut
Chandigarh, March 1 -- An exhibition - Chandigarh's Indian Modernists - was on Saturday inaugurated at the Government Museum & Art Gallery as part of the celebrations marking "75 years of the idea of Chandigarh". The exhibition was formally opened by VP Malik, former Chief of Army Staff. The exhibition highlighted the contributions of Indian architects, engineers, administrators and cultural practitioners who shaped the city's modernist identity. Featuring drawings, sketches, photographs, paintings, archival material, writings, the event is being organised by the Chandigarh Citizens Foundation.
Addressing the gathering, General Malik emphasised the importance of preserving institutional memory and recognising the contribution to Chandigarh's development.
The exhibition has been organised in collaboration with INTACH, Panjab Digital Library and other will remain open till March 29. htc...
