Mohali, May 11 -- Delhi Public School, successfully hosted DPSMUN 2026, its flagship Model United Nations conference, bringing together over 600 delegates from schools across the tricity. The two-day event provided a dynamic platform for dialogue and deliberation on pressing global and social issues. The conference commenced with a soulful choir performance, followed by the introduction of the executive board and the declaration of the conference by the secretary general. Across committees, delegates assumed the roles of global leaders, engaging in structured debates that fostered critical thinking, collaboration, and diplomacy, while emphasising active listening, empathy, and respect for diverse perspectives. A key highlight was the social night, where delegates connected beyond formal sessions, building camaraderie and lasting friendships. On the final day, participants moved from debate to diplomacy, drafting resolutions and building consensus on complex agendas. The conference concluded with a vibrant closing ceremony featuring dance performances by DPS Mohali students and reflections by participants. The ceremony included a prize distribution, with best delegate and special mention awards presented across committees. The event was graced by chief guest prof Rashmi Khorana Nagpal, associate dean, school of law and former director in-charge, Narsee Monjee institute of management studies, Chandigarh campus.
