CPR awareness session held at Delhi Public School campus
Mohali, Feb. 16 -- A CPR awareness session was organised at the school under the aegis of the Interact Club, with the objective of sensitising students and staff about the importance of timely action during medical emergencies. The session aimed to equip participants with essential life-saving skills and to create awareness about how preparedness can help save precious lives.
The programme was graced by members of the Rotary Club of Mohali Midtown, namely Aameep Sinha, president, and Kuldeep Singh Dhody, secretary.
The highlight of the session was the informative and engaging address by the resource person Dr Shivani Juneja Bedi (MBBS, MD Pharmacology - Gold Medallist), and Dr Neelesh Singh (USV Ltd) who elaborated on the fundamentals and significance of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). They emphasised that emergencies often occur without prior warning and that immediate and correct response during such critical moments can make the difference between life and death. Through their insightful explanation, they stressed the importance of awareness, presence of mind, and prompt action.
The session proved to be highly enriching as it empowered students and teachers with practical knowledge and reinforced the value of being prepared to act responsibly in emergency situations. The initiative also highlighted the role of young learners as responsible citizens capable of contributing positively to society. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the distinguished guests, the resource person, and all participants for their valuable presence and cooperation in making the event meaningful and impactful....
