Chandigarh, May 3 -- Temperatures are set to be on the lower end this week too as a fresh Western Disturbance (WD) is set to bring rain to the city from Sunday. India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for thunderstorms and gusty winds up to 50 km/h on Sunday and Monday. According to the IMD, the weather system is expected to be strongest over these two days, and residents have been advised to stay updated and remain prepared. Orange is the second-highest warning level in the IMD's four-colour alert system. The city witnessed sunny conditions on Saturday, leading to a rise in temperatures. The maximum temperature climbed from 35.2degC on Friday to 36.2degC, which was still 1.3 degrees below normal. The minimum temperature also rose from 19.8degC to 21.9degC, remaining 1.4 degrees below normal. Over the next three days, the maximum temperature is expected to stay between 35degC and 37degC, while the minimum temperature is likely to range from 22degC to 24degC....
