ctor Deepika Padukone's exit from the sequel of Kalki 2898 AD has been in the news for several months, and fresh speculation is now centred on who might replace her.
The first film starred Deepika alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Prabhas, with the actor playing a key role in the sci-fi epic. Industry buzz now suggests that Sai Pallavi could be a potential replacement in the sequel.
According to a viral post by The Climax India on X, Prabhas has reportedly allotted dates to director Nag Ashwin from early February to begin shooting. Sai, who is also set to star in Ramayana opposite Ranbir Kapoor, is said to be under consideration.
Deepika's exit from the franchise was announced in September 2025, when production house Vyjayanthi Movies confirmed on social media that she would not be part of the sequel.
