AAP to contest MC polls on party symbol
Rohtak, Jan. 30 -- Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) state chief and former Rajya Sabha MP Sushil Gupta on Thursday announced that the party would contest the municipal corporation elections of Ambala, Sonepat and Panchkula. Interacting with media in Bhiwani, Gupta said that the party will also contest the election of municipal council and committee on its symbol.
"We have done all preparations for the civic body polls. The civic bodies have become a spot of corruption and we will oust the BJP from civic bodies. All gangs of the country are active in Haryana and they are executing crime without fear of any law," he added.
The term of the municipal corporations has come to an end and Haryana government has made a recommendation to the state election commission to hold the elections for the same. htc...
