Aanchal Int'l School students take part in cleanliness drive
Chandigarh, Feb. 16 -- Aanchal International School, participated in Swachh Sarvekshan awareness drive by organising an awareness programme on proper waste disposal and cleanliness within the school campus. The initiative aimed to instil a sense of responsibility among students towards maintaining a clean and healthy environment. The programme highlighted the importance ofsegregating waste at sourceby using green bins for wet waste and blue bins for dry waste. The speaker ( Harvinder Singh Harry) from municipal corporation, Chandigarh guided students on thesafe disposal of hazardous wastesuch as batteries and e-waste. The students were made aware of the need to reduce plastic usage, reuse materials, and recycle waste wherever possible. Through speeches and demonstrations, students learned how kitchen waste can be composted and used as natural manure for plants. Special emphasis was laid on not littering and maintaining cleanliness in classrooms, corridors, and public places. The programme encouraged everyone to follow the3Rs-Reduce, Reuse, and Recyclein daily life. The event concluded with a pledge by students and teachers to keep our surroundings clean...
