7 killed, 4 hurt in Raj factory blaze
Alwar, Feb. 17 -- At least seven people were killed and four others critically injured on Monday after a massive fire broke out at a factory that illegally manufactured firecrackers in an industrial area in Rajasthan's Alwar district, police said
Multiple fire tenders from nearby areas battled for hours to bring the flames under control.
According to the police, the incident happened at 9.30am at the factory located in the Khairthal-Tijara Industrial Area of Bhiwadi.
While the police have detained the factory's owner, identified as Rajendra Kumar, the operator it was leased to, identified as Abhinandan Tiwari, is absconding, said Khairthal-Tijara SP Manish Kumar.
"An FIR has been registered based on the allegations from the deceased's family members, who accused the factory owner and person supervising the work of the mishap. Several people have been detained," said SP Kumar....
