23 elected to Punjab, Haryana Bar Council
Chandigarh, April 30 -- As many as 23 advocates have been declared elected as members of the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana following the elections held on March 17 and 18, 2026.
Advocates from Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh participated in the polling process for the elections. The elected members are: Suvir Sidhu, Karanjit Singh, Ajay Chaudhary, Minderjeet Yadav, Rajender Juneja, Gurtej Singh Grewal, Pardhuman Garg, Pravesh Yadav, Pardeep Parmar, Partap Singh, Amit Rana, Harpreet Singh Multani, Vijender Singh Ahlawat, Karamjeet Singh, Rajat Gautam, Rakesh Gupta, Neeraj Sheoran, Dayal Partap Singh Randhawa, Anjali Sehrawat, Sunita Kalsan, Amarjit Kaur, Rajni Nanda and Sharmila Sharma. According to the result notification issued by retired justice Jaishree Thakur, returning officer for the elections, a total of 81,069 votes were polled, of which 1,456 were declared invalid and 79,613 were treated as valid votes. The value of each vote was fixed at 100, while the quota required for election was calculated at 3,31,721....
