Karnal, Jan. 20 -- At least 13 government and private schools received bomb threat emails in Ambala on Monday. The schools immediately informed the police following which a thorough check was carried out amid heavy police deployment, officials said. Nothing suspicious was found, superintendent of police Ajit Singh Shekhawat said. He further said that all schools received a similar e-mail, threatening bomb blasts at 2:11 pm. Ambala Cantt station house officer Jatinder Dhillon said, "A thorough search was conducted, but nothing suspicious was found. We are investigating the matter." On Friday, bomb threat emails were sent to the Ambala deputy commissioner's office and the Mini Secretariat in Kurukshetra district, prompting authorities to initiate a thorough search. In Ambala, police officials along with bomb disposal squad and a dog squad team conducted a comprehensive search of the DC office and also the record room and the officer's vehicle but nothing was found.
