"Rehmat-e-Diwas" celebrations at KB DAV Senior Sec Public School
Chandigarh, Jan. 12 -- The campus of KBDAV-7 was enveloped in divine fervour and festive warmth as the school celebrated Christmas under the banner "Rehmat-e-Diwas" in a muted yet meaningful manner and remained true to the Arya Samaj ethos, focusing on universal values, inner joy and moral awakening.
The thoughtfully curated cultural programme began with Class 6 presenting the soulful hymn "Aaya Masih", which beautifully portrayed the joy, hope and serenity associated with the birth of Jesus Christ. The performance symbolised the arrival of a divine soul on earth and set a reflective tone for the event. This was followed by the joyous arrival of Santa Claus, whose presence brought smiles, cheer and a sense of celebration among the young audience. Value based meaning of ; Santa Claus; was displayed as S-Satya, A Aadar, N-Nistha, T-Tarakki, A-Anusthan, C-Chetna, L-Labhkari, A-Atam Nirbhar, U-Utsaah, S-Sewa.
Adding vibrancy to the programme, Class 4 performed an energetic "Jingle Bells" presentation, where Santa Claus was portrayed as a messenger of goodness, gifting children moral virtues such as kindness, love, generosity and compassion, reinforcing the belief that values are the greatest gifts of all.
The programme continued with an endearing performance by Class 3, whose dance radiated innocence and enthusiasm. The students also took sincere resolutions to welcome the year 2026 with goodness in their hearts, promising to practice kindness and positivity in their daily lives.
The highlight of the show was a vibrant New Year-themed dance by Class 7, which culminated in a grand finale, with the spotlight proudly resting on Rehmat-e-Diwas, symbolising grace, blessings and universal goodwill. The powerful visual left a lasting impression on the audience.
The celebration concluded on an uplifting note by principal Pooja Prakash, leaving students and teachers inspired to carry forward the message of kindness, gratitude, love, generosity and joyful living into the coming year....
