VishwaDev says he is 'indebted' to Rana Daggubati for his career

ishwaDev Rachakonda was recently seen opposite Sobhita Dhulipala in the Telugu film Cheekatilo. Being an "outsider" with no prior connections, the actor admits that navigating the South film industry, which is dominated by legacy families, has been challenging. However, he credits actor Rana Daggubati, who presented his debut film as a producer Pareshan (2023) as a source of encouragement for newcomers like him.
"From an outsider standpoint, with no background in the industry, it's definitely a challenging pathway to navigate. Having support from somebody like Rana who believes in your work is so important."
The 25-year-old adds, "All of us are filmmakers, wanting to tell stories. The kind of cinema I want to associate with, the voice I want to bring out, and the directors I want to work with, Rana has played a pivotal role in that journey for me. He's somebody I'm deeply indebted to for my career and the kind of work that I'm getting now."
VishwaDev's breakthrough came with 35 Chinna Katha Kaadu (2024), for which he also received Rana's backing. However, he asserts that the journey since hasn't been as smooth. "Some days you are in the dark, and there are so many other factors that have to align for your work to shine. Amidst all of this, you wonder, what if the odds don't land in your favour? That's when you need a friend and supporter like Rana," he ends....
