India, Feb. 3 -- Actor Tom Cruise has reportedly moved out of his £35 million Knightsbridge apartment, citing growing safety concerns following high-profile crime in the elite London neighbourhood. The 63-year-old actor, as per a Metro report, decided to relocate after a violent daylight robbery occurred at a nearby watch store.
According to another BBC report, during the incident, masked thieves on motorbikes utilised sledgehammers to smash into the shop, reportedly wielding machetes to ward off security guards. The group managed to escape with approximately 20 high-value watches within minutes.
While Cruise was known to enjoy the local area, often spotted by residents during early-morning runs along South Carriage Drive, he felt the neighbourhood's safety had declined significantly over the past two years. The source said, "The over aggressive attack on the store below cemented the lack of security surrounding the multi-million pound flats where Cruise lives. He often loved to take a walk around the area but it seems like Knightsbridge is becoming less safe by the week. He just felt the area has declined in the past year or two."
