Ryeowook helps injured fans after gig mishap; apologises
India, April 8 -- Ryeowook, member of K-pop group Super Junior, has received widespread appreciation and praise for his response after an accident at their concert in South Korea's Seoul left three fans injured.
The incident took place on April 5, the final day of the band's three-day encore concert for its 20th anniversary tour Super Show 10. As members moved closer to the audience during the encore, Ryeowook approached the stands when a temporary safety fence collapsed, causing several fans to fall.
Footage from the venue showed the singer clutching his head in shock before quickly calling for security staff. Fans later shared that Ryeowook stayed back after the show and also accompanied the injured fans to the hospital. On Wednesday, he also shared a note apologising to his fans aka ELF: "Since we'll keep meeting our ELF, Super Junior will be more cautious and attentive to safety."
The band's agency SM Entertainment also apologised, stating it would take "full responsibility" for the incident and strengthen safety measures. htc...
