No nervousness, only excitement: Luke on leading Bridgerton S4

ctor Luke Thompson, who has been part of Bridgerton since its debut, is set to take centre stage in the fourth season of the global hit. After three seasons in a supporting role, Thompson now leads the narrative, which focuses on his character's romance with Yerin Ha.
Asked whether stepping into the lead role brings any nerves, Luke says he feels only excitement. "I was very lucky in terms of timing. I had time to get used to the world of Bridgerton and to filming on camera, which I hadn't done much before," he says, adding that by season four, he felt "ready and looking forward to the adventure".
Previous Bridgerton leading men, Rege-Jean Page, Jonathan Bailey and Luke Newton, saw a surge in global popularity after their seasons aired. On whether he is prepared for similar attention when the new season premieres on Netflix on January 29, Luke says he is "curious". "If you can keep a clear boundary between the public you and the private you, you can enjoy it. People project things onto you, that's part of being an actor."
Talking about his chemistry with Yerin, he calls the experience "rich", noting that their characters interact across varied settings that allow different sides of their relationship to emerge.
With Bridgerton's worldwide reach, Luke also reflects on the scale of the opportunity: "In a time when there is so much content, being part of a show that commands the attention of millions across cultures is rare. It's an amazing experience."...
