India, April 3 -- R apper-songwriter Megan Thee Stallion was hospitalised in New York City after falling ill during a performance of Moulin Rouge! The Musical on Broadway, forcing her to exit mid-show. Her representative, Didier Morais, confirmed the news to The Hollywood Reporter. "During Tuesday night's production, Megan started feeling very ill and was transported to a local hospital, where her symptoms are currently being evaluated. We will share additional updates," it read. Her hairstylist and close friend, Kellon Deryck, who has been working with her on the show, also confirmed the development, saying, "Everyone say a prayer for Megan, we are all at the hospital." The official website of Moulin Rouge! The Musical stated that the singer will not be performing in the upcoming matinee and evening shows. An audience member also shared their experience on X, writing, "Came to see Meg The stallion on Broadway but that was short-lived. In the few opening scenes I saw her in, she was great on stage! I was excited BUT. They just stopped moulin rouge mid show, apologised to the audience and said 'stay inside and seated'. I asked security if we're safe .. they told us 'for now, we'll update you if anything changes' (sic)". The 31-year-old had recently made her Broadway debut in Moulin Rouge!
