Khloe Kardashian regrets 'favour' to Lamar Odom after documentary backlash
India, April 18 -- Reality TV star Khloe Kardashian has hit back at ex-husband, and former NBA player Lamar Odom, saying she regrets appearing in his documentary Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom, and only did it "as a favour".
The film revisits Odom's 2015 near-fatal overdose, with Kardashian speaking about their marriage and her role during his recovery. But after its release, Odom disputed parts of her account in interviews, triggering her response on her podcast, Khloe in Wonder Land.
"I feel played. and dumb," she said, adding she was "pissed off" that Odom is now "annoyed" with her. She said, "All I did was tell the story that I was asked by you to tell, but now to, like, play in my face and now to act like I didn't do any of the things I did and insinuate I'm a liar is crazy".
Kardashian said she initially refused for months before agreeing to be part of the project and only agreed after being assured it would be a "positive piece". She also stressed she wasn't paid: "I willingly did this for Lamar. I'm not getting one penny."
The 41-year-old also described revisiting the past as emotionally taxing. "Do people think I like talking about this all day long? No, it's traumatic," she said of reliving the marriage and Lamar's addiction for the documentary. She concluded, "I was asked by Lamar (Odom) to do this documentary. I did it for him".
