It's trending tradition: Brides want a dupatta just like Deepika's
India, May 27 -- Remember Deepika Padukone's wedding dupatta that had the Sanskrit phrase Sada Saubhagyavati Bhava embroidered on the border? The dupatta has set a new bridal trend: Blessings in Sanskrit beautifully embroidered on dupattas, saris and blouses. A large number of brides are queuing up at designer studios and local tailors to get such outfits customised. "After Deepika's wedding, clients want similar dupattas. We embroider shlokas as per their request. Couples are also asking for mantras such as Gayatri Mantra, Ayushman Bhava, and Shri Ganeshaya Namah on their outfits," says Delhi-based designer Aamir Rajput .
