India, Feb. 28 -- The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has asked the state governments and the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to take remedial measures at accident spots on national highways based on preliminary analysis from police reports rather than waiting for such stretches to be declared as black spots, reported PTI. This directive from MoRTH comes as the process of declaring one stretch on a national highway as a black spot takes time and in between the process more accidents could take place taking precious lives or injuring many.
