Sri Lanka, April 20 -- Investigations have revealed that the plot to assassinate businessman 'Osman Gunasekara' of Gampaha and his associates was orchestrated by notorious underworld figure 'Batuwatte Chamara.'

According to ongoing inquiries, Commando Salintha and Mandinu Padmasiri Perera, also known as Kehelbaddara Padme, jointly prepared the assassination plan at Batuwatte Chamara's behest.

Despite international red warrants issued for his arrest, Batuwatte Chamara is reported to have orchestrated this plan from Malaysia.

Authorities have identified Nadun Chinthaka, alias Harakkata, as the supplier of the firearms intended for the operation.
