Sri Lanka, Dec. 16 -- Six Thai women were arrested after a raid on a brothel operating in the Kollupitiya area under the guise of a spa.

Officers from the Colombo South Divisional Criminal Investigation Bureau carried out the raid yesterday (15), police report.

Police state the group of Thai nationals arrested were engaged in this illegal operation and are between the ages of 29 and 36.

Among those arrested is a 40-year-old resident of Wadumulla who is suspected of being the manager of the establishment.

Kollupitiya Police are conducting further investigations.
