Sri Lanka, July 10 -- The Court of Appeal has announced it will issue its order on the petition seeking to prevent a secret ballot for the election of the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Seethawaka Pradeshiya Sabha on July 14.

The Attorney General informed the court that the respondents would be advised not to hold the election for these positions until that date.

The petition is being heard before an Appeal Court bench comprising the President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Rohantha Abeysuriya, and Justice Priyantha Fernando.
