WB transfers ips officer after prez event row
Kolkata, March 16 -- The West Bengal government has transferred Indian Police Service (IPS) officer C Sudhakar, days after the Ministry of home affairs (MHA) sought his deputation to the Centre following the row over President Droupadi Murmu's March 7 visit to the state, officials aware of the development said on Sunday.
"Siliguri Police commissioner Sudhakar has been posted as inspector general of police (IGP), Intelligence Branch," a senior state official said, requesting anonymity.
