Chandigarh, Feb. 14 -- At least 119 Indian migrants deported from the US are expected to arrive at the Guru Ram Dass International Airport in Amritsar on board two flights on February 15 and 16, officials familiar with the matter said, making it the second tranche of people returning amid an unprecedented crackdown on people entering the US illegally.
Both flights are scheduled to land at 10.05pm on February 15 and 16, officials in the Punjab Police said. The officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity, further gave a state wise categorisation of deportees, with Punjab accounting for the most at 67 people, followed by 33 from Haryana, eight from Gujarat, three from Uttar Pradesh, two from Maharashtra, two from Rajasthan, one each from H...
