New Delhi, Feb. 20 -- An 80-year-old retired Delhi Police sub-inspector was shot at allegedly by two bike-borne assailants in outer Delhi's Bakkarwala area on Thursday afternoon, police said.
The policeman, identified as Rishal Singh, had retired from the force in 2006. He sustained multiple gunshots and was admitted to a nearby private hospital, police said, adding that the 80-year-old is in a critical condition.
A police officer, requesting anonymity, said that although the motive behind the attack remains unclear, the incident was being probed from the angles of property dispute and personal enmity.
