New Delhi, Feb. 13 -- Hours after a Hindustan Times story on the website of the National Single Window System (NSWS) listing a clearance to divert "a tiger reserve for ecologically unsustainable uses", one of 46 clearances from the Union environment ministry the single-window portal was facilitating, this clearance and two others were removed. The listing alarmed environmentalists, as it went against the logic and purpose of creating a tiger reserve. The other two items removed are: "Form 1 - Alteration of boundaries of National Park/ Sanctuary/ Tiger Reserve" and "Forest Clearance." NSWS guides project proponents in identifying and applying for approvals based on business requirements.P12
